Ayala de Groot is one of the two PhD candidates in the In Search of Trust project. She has a background in (forensic) criminology and a strong interest in various legal psychology topics. Within the IST project, she researches the relationship and interactions between young people and the police. Using various qualitative research methods, she works on developing an intervention to enhance mutual trust between youth and law enforcement.
